Standing On Productions is a UK-based comedy company creating work that does exactly what it says on the tin: comedy which stands up.

Founded by Ayla Moore, Arthur Kerr Martin, and Emily Louise M Somerville, the company is built on a shared commitment to championing bold ideas, fresh talent, and live experiences that audiences actually want to be in the room for.

Since launching in 2025, Standing On Productions has quickly established itself as a growing presence on the UK comedy circuit. Its flagship Big Value Showcase brought together emerging comedians through semi-finals in Leicester and London, culminating in a final at Leicester Comedy Festival 2026. The show now heads to the Edinburgh Fringe for a full run in August, continuing its mission to spotlight the most exciting voices in comedy.

Alongside the showcase, Standing On Productions develops and produces its own original work, including Comedy in the Dark, an immersive stand-up show performed in complete darkness—and a range of live formats designed to push beyond the traditional comedy night.

The company also collaborates with leading comedians, producing Edinburgh Fringe shows for Dan Tiernan and Ed Night, as well as running regular live events across London. This includes Weekend at Dad’s, Horatio Gould’s monthly show at Backyard Comedy Club, held every third Tuesday.

At its core, Standing On Productions is about creating space, for comedians to take risks, for new ideas to land, and for audiences to experience something memorable. Whether it’s a packed-out competition, an experimental format, or a late-night Fringe show, the aim is always the same: make great comedy, and make it stand up.
